Hey, what are you guys putting down under the Awards/Honors section. Part of why im asking is because the stupid thing onlylets you type about 7 words before it cuts you off. I cant even accurately tell them what I've done. Also, I wanna see what you consider to be your most important activities (I'm trying to decide whther to include certain things. e.g. I did independent research, and I presented it in places, but do I have to list "independent research" and then list the places I presented or can I just list that I presented? haha prolly confusing)

i dunno, im listing random things like natl merit semi and ap scholar w/ distinction... i assume lots of ppl will be doing that...

I am wondering the same thing. Anyone else have a solution?

Not sure what to do either. Not nearly enough to explain fully about each award. I wish we could attach resumes or something. Any ideas?

well, nothing we can really do about it....just shorten the awards. But I am not including the grades participated because theres just not enough room.

Just a question: Why is it that unlike most colleges, stanford's so against the idea of sending in a resume? I suppose it gives the adcom more work in looking through applications, but don't resumes give a better picture of the applicant?

As for the lack of space, I printed out the forms manually and tried to squeeze most of my stuff in using tiny handwriting=(

I think they want to see if u can follow guidelines, be concise, etc, qualities that are important later in life.

yeah, I think paulhomework is right, but at the same time, 7 words including a description of the EC, and grades participated is ridiculous. I think that they went a little too far with the being concise thing.
