<p>Hello, I'm new to this forum. I took my first look at the Common App today, and I noticed that there is a seciton for Awards/Honors. I understand EC's/Comms/Work Experience, but what types of awards would qualify in this ssection and actually look appealing?</p>

<p>Also, can you throw out some ideas on ways to obtain awards, either with academics at school or contests on the internet? Thanks.</p>

<p>Any award is fine - just make sure it is clear whether it is a local, regional, state, national, or international :wink: award</p>
