Hello, I am a hispanic currently with a 4.5 weighted GPA (3.97 unweighted). I was wondering if there were any awards or scholarships I could apply as a Junior. Thanks1
what are your junior year PSAT scores? Do your scores qualify you for National Hispanic Recognition program

There are, of course, lots of scholarships available to any student applying for frosh admission to college:

I read the thing but it said I needed to apply mid-winter. So is it too late now?
Edit: Just read again and it says I can submit by June 15. Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate it!
You also need to be very financially distressed to even be considered for most “hispanic” URM scholarships; otherwise, it is a no-go. (Speaking from personal experience, son is NHR Program, not one penny was given to him from that agency.)
There aren’t many scholarships open to juniors – especially not at this time of year. I would start looking for senior scholarships.
Thanks for this. My family is very financially distressed, so hopefully I will be able to get as many scholarships as possible.
Make sure you have super high test scores.
Unfortunately, I didn’t make the cutout. Did you have your son apply for any other awards?
Yes, mostly regional awards. Nothing was offered to him through the NHRP. It’s a paper award.
Your best bet is local and regional awards. The colleges offer the big money.
My son got scholarships, not the biggies, through his grandfather’s former company, through his Dad’s company and through Scouts and local Kiwani’s.
Some colleges do offer some money to NHRP students. For example:
