Awards Questions

Hi there!

I’m filling out the common app for Stanford. I know that they do not want any additional information, but I have extra awards that won’t fit in the 5 slots provided. Is it okay to list them in the additional info section? Or will Stanford not read it? If not, which of the awards do you think I should list?

National Spanish Exam Level 1 - 1st Place in State

National Spanish Exam Level 2 – 99th percentile, Gold Medal Winner

National French Contest Level 3 – 2nd Place in the Pacific Region, 4th Place nationally

Ayn Rand Anthem Essay Contest – 2nd Place

AMC 10 – 2nd Place in School

Harvard Prize Book

State Math League – Cumulative High Scoring Student

National Merit Semifinalist

National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar

AP Scholar

Thanks for your help!

definitely not AMC 10 2nd place, that's pretty unimpressive. same with the math league. I like the national exams/contests though. I'd put the NMSF and AP scholar only if you don't have much else to write. I think you'd have room to put all your awards in additional info though
