Awards

Ap Scholar Awards as I know are given out in October. I am currently a Junior and by the end of the year will have a total of 7 AP exams taken. I see that National award requires 4+ on at least 8 exams.

The questions are..... do colleges really look at the awards that much? Senior AP exams dont count toward awards right? if so ....should I take an extra exam this year to get 8 total?

....Thank you

actually sr. AP's do count
IMO the award means nothing...unless u really have nothing to do until May and wanna study another AP

sr. AP's count toward the award??!

i mean, you can get the award AFTER your senior year

they do count towards the award but how is that usefull??? you already have done all your aplications.... and they are not useful for anything else

its a pretty lame award.

Believe it or not, awards are typically given out to recognize your merit and achievement, not to boost your resume.

If you qualify, you'll get an award in college (September or so). Even if you get AP Scholar with Honor before applications, it's largely useless at top colleges -- tons of students get it, as they take lots of AP classes and do well on the exams. I know I didn't even bother putting that in the awards section.
