<p>I don't have many awards. Perhaps my best awards are NMS, AP Scholar, Regional Science Olympiads, and Department Awards. Am I still going to be competitive at top colleges?</p>

<p>Also, is it okay if I put awards like "selected for math team" or "hockey team 'courage' award" or "complete Kumon math program", or is that trying too hard and will look bad? </p>

<p>Personally i would refrain for school/department awards. As long as your app shows dedication and commitment, a lack of awards will be inconsequential.</p>
