Dang just got my letter in the mail, USNA unable to offer me an appointment and I was triple Q'd an everything. Oh well, does any one know if there is any chance I could still an appointment? Say if people drop out, do I take their spot?

yes, there is a chance. but please make sure to set up your plan B school. very few appointments are offered from now until I-Day. even occasionally an appointment is offered a couple of days before I-Day. but definately move yourself forward on your plan B school.
i’m sorry for your disappoinment.

I thought appointments would be offered up until April 15? Are you saying that most of the appointments have already been made?

The obvious answer to your latter question is yes. It’s rolling admissions and undoubtedly the majority of appointments have been extended.

However, that does not answer your first question. Indeed appointments will be offered up until and occasionally on I Day. The game is not over yet. One young man, an absolutely stellar candidate, received his call from MOC on 27 Mar. He got his wings 2 weeks ago. Another LOA got appointment notification on 05 April. It’s not over, not close. As long as the thin envelope has not been received. In that case God’s more direct intervention may be required, at least for a '13 appointment.
