I am a sophomore in college, and have recently moved home for this semester because of my drop in grades. I have decided to finish my AA at the community college in my hometown and reallly want to transfer to FSU in the fall..
BIG problem though...I have a terrible GPA because of last semester (2.42 ugh i know..) because apparently the classes the school had signed me up for, were ones I had not even met the pre-req's for and eventually I just gave up and stopped trying-huge regret..
Anyways, I am taking 20 hours this semester and will be completed with my AA by the end of the first summer term and was wondering that if I earn all A's what would my chance be at transferring with my AA to another 4 year univ.? I am afraid FSU is going to see I have such bad grades from the university I attended before and that I went to community college afterwards and got good ones and think I am not capable of making good grades at a 4 year school... but I am unsure of what else I could possibly do to improve other than getting good grades....PLEASE HELP/GIVE ADVICE... thank you!

Are you at a community college in Florida? If so, make an appointment with the transfer counselors. Find out what the requirements are for admission to FSU and the other public universities in Florida. There may be an articulation agreement in place which guarantees you admission at one or more of these universities once you have completed your A.A. If so, the university won’t care where you took the classes so long as you have the A.A. degree in your hot little fist.

Wishing you all the best.

Yes I am at one in Florida! Thank you for the advice, I hope this works out…its so stressful!
