Awkward position! HELP!!

I have been doing A-Levels in my country, I completed the AS levels and then I had planned to give all subjects exams (both AS level and A level credits) but I had to move out of my country and into the US! So, I've hear that they rarely teach A Levels here and so can I join a high school here, the A level is Senior year equivalent! And I've heard about the GED too, will I be able to join a good university with the GED!? But the first priority goes to completing high school, will I be able to resume the senior year or should I start from the Junior year, if I do that I'll lose a year! Help me!!

A GED is a high school equivalency exam. It’s pass/fail and not anything like A levels at all. All it does is give you the equivalent of a high school diploma. Many universities (other than community colleges) do not accept GEDs (they don’t have grades attached to them, so there is nothing to evaluate and the GED exam is very easy).

Most universities in the US are familiar with A levels because so many international students take them. But no, they are generally not offered in the US. If you come to the US, you will be assigned a guidance counselor to help you plan a course schedule so that you can graduate high school. Colleges will evaluate your A Level performance and your US grades together to get a full idea of your academic record.

tl;dr Do not do a GED, continue with A levels, figure out senior year courses when you are enrolled in high school in the US.

Thank you for the help I appreciate it, but will the high school admit me in senior year!? Will they let me continue?

Public schools don’t have “admissions.” If your family lives in the region of the public school (rents or buys a house/apartment), then the public school has to let you in.

If you want to go to a private high school, you will have to apply to each one individually, just as you would for college.

Is it bad that as soon as I read the title of this post, my mind went to the gutter?
Lol, I love dem dirty jokes, I guess :D

If you really want to continue A Levels could you not get home schooled?
