When are the 5/14/2016 Analytical Writing Placement Examination results posted?
Will the scores be posted on the MyTests section of the UCI MyAdmissions website?
Campuses have received the AWPE scores from the May test (grading was completed June 5th). At this point, individual campuses are placing students into classes based on those test results. They should be done late today, with results posted Monday.
The message below was posted this afternoon on the UCI Academic Testing Center/My Results website. The MyAdmissions website also lists that the ELWR requirement was Not Satisfied.
Dear XXXXX:
You took the Analytical Writing Placement Examination on 5/14/2016.
You have NOT satisfied the University’s Entry Level Writing Requirement and should enroll in one of the following:
- Writing 37 (Intensive Writing), a six unit course, satisfies the Entry Level Writing Requirement as well as one quarter of the lower division writing requirement when you earn a final grade of C or better. Writing 37 thus can provide credit equivalent to both Writing 39A and Writing 39B.
- Humanities 1A and 1AES (Humanities Core Course), a eight unit course, provides guided practice in thinking, speaking, and writing clearly about issues and texts from philosophy, literature, and history. The course is required for students in the School of Humanities.
Your academic advisor has access to this information. Please consult with your academic advisor to determine whether you should enroll in Writing 37 or in Humanities 1A and 1AES.
