Aww.

No alumni interviewer lives within 75 miles of me.

That's what I get for living in New Mexico. ha.

Oh well.

Skip the interview, it serves no particularly useful purpose and will not make or break an application. I think adcoms offer it solely as a means of allowing the applicant to discuss the school with someone, rather than as an honest effort to learn something about the applicant. Needless to say, this is valid for the average applicant. There are always cases at the margin, where the applicant does something really, really stupid, or just plain stands out.

waterbed, same here! Except I live in Florida (southwest) - maybe after going to UChicago you get so used to the cold that you don't want to move somewhere hot? crosses fingers that we both get in anyway

:O My interview was ~46 miles away.

I live in Utah...I thought I wouldn't get an interview 'cause of my location, haha.

No interviewer here in South Florida as well.

@concretejungle where do you live...I also live in Utah...too bad I didn't request an interview before the deadline

@neuron, where in south FL do you live (east-west)? i think we need to fix the fact that there are no alum down here :-P
