<p>In regards to that argument about whether harvard is the best hands-down, look at Cornell’s (a “supposedly” lower ivy) engineering standing. Higher than Harvards and higher than yale by a lot.
Is a 2200 enough for SAT? I recently got a 2130 on SAT, is that too low for these colleges? I am junior, so i have time to study and improve which i know i can by atleast 100 pts.</p>

<p>what about ur essay though: is it just that hook thing? if it is i would consider a different topic.. i mean that is a great hook but i think addmissions is looking for something more.. what makes you special.. what makes you- you (i know its cliche)- maybe its ur ECs, something about ur background that relates to why university is the next step, etc. try to go deeper with it.. and if u have a good interview (if offered) i say u have a good shot at all of them… schools in the ‘other’ category - VERRRY good chance</p>

<p>I agree. HYP is unlikely; you extracirriculars, while good, aren’t stunning compared to the nation’s other top students. I think you’ve got a decent shot everywhere else. Are you good enough to play Basketball at those schools? Because if you are, contact the coaches. You’ll be a guaranteed admit.</p>

<p>Also, is your Language 800 Korean? Cause that won’t seem all that impressive…</p>
<p>You’ll be very lucky to get into Brown or Dartmouth. UPenn CAS and Cornell likely (although it seems like you didn’t apply to Cornell).</p>
