So since I'm in my second year, it's too late to transfer to B.S computer science, but I am able to do B.A. Is a B.A in Computer Science worth it? I don't want to transfer into a major that no employer will ever want, and end up as a janitor :(

I’ve noticed that it seems that most employers specify " a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent"; depending on the employer, a B.A. could be seen as equivalent. It also depends on your college, at my college, the difference between a B.A. and a B.S. in Computer Science is only one class.

That said, most employers will have you take some sort of test during your an interview. If you can pass it, despite your major, then they’ll probably still take you.

After you’ve been employed for so many years in the CS field, your actual major probably matters less anyway and your experience outweighs it, to an extent. I think once you reach that point, they just want somebody with a degree.

I got all of my CS internships as a journalism major (well before I ever changed my major.) but did well on the tests I was given.
