B.A. In Econ

im considering this OR psyc. i want to do real estate or something of the sort when i graduate, but im choosing a BA because truthfully, math is not a subject i enjoy nor am i particularly skilled in. can someone take a look at these requirements and inform me whether this should be manageable? i only took up to trig in high school, went to jr college took micro and macro economics and am taking statistics right now.

thanks guys...here is the link:

Well I'm not you so I can't fully judge it, but it looks to be manageable even for someone who doesn't like maths. The BA shouldn't be math intensive to begin with and most of those electives mentioned don't come off as math heavy either.

this is what i thought...thanks, anyone else wanna chime in?

sure. if you can't do math, then you've got no real business studying econ. layola not have a business school?

why is that? i can DO math, i just dont love it. plus, judging from the requirements for the BA it does not seem to be TOO math intensive.

and its LOYOLA

whatever...if you don't love math, then you really shouldn't be doing econ.

ok, like i said its a BA, not a BS so it is more liberal arts based.

....you still shouldn't be doing econ if you don't like math :P

well its more practical than psych. (for me anyway). ive already taken macro and micro as well as statistics and have gotten a's (all at jr college, but they will transfer). so i figured it would be a good idea.

anyone agree, or is everyone against that?

Wow! I am doing the exact same thing, and I also want to go into the Real Estate field! If you are sure that you can do the work, I say go for it.
