Im about to start college and Im just curious. I do play on Majoring in econ and I have no Idea what the advantages between a B.A and a B.S are. I do plan on going for a masters if that is of any importance. Any help would be appreciated. Also what are recomendations on minors. I'm currently looking at Banking/Finance as my minor.

It depends on your school if economics is a BA or BS degree. I think most of them would offer BA programs. I doubt there's a big difference.

I think the economics philosophy is bs. I just read my economics book from microecon and the first chapter states that human beings are self-interested but never selfish? I am thinking, whhaaat? Never ever selfish? If the word selfish didn't exist, or in people's heads the book wouldn't make such a claim. Jesus the attitude in the book also says that there are people who are wealthy and poor that have wants and that they can't fulfill all of them. It makes them seem like poor people aren't the only ones that have it bad. And then it tries to make us think that sometimes some good dead to save a few people from death is not a good thing if you analyze the costs to save those some people because it might havea huge impact in destroying others. Whaat?

And what's funny is that I am majoring in Agricultural Econ right now, but I don't really have a choice considering how long I've been at school haha.
