B.A. vs B.S. in engineering?

<p>I've never heard of an engineer getting a BA, so you might want to get the BS. Unless you just want to be in sales or something of that sort where you might not start on the more technical side of things.</p>

<p>I believe that a B.A. program is not ABET accredited. That might make a difference for some positions.</p>

<p>ya i dont really understand how a b.a. in engineering could be very quality, seeing as how engineering is basically math and science.</p>

<p>To be safe, make sure it's ABET accredited. That's the first thing you need to do, otherwise you'll need to prove to your prospective employer that you've received a quality education!</p>

<p>If you have the choice between BA or BS, go with the BS.</p>

<p>^^^^how much of an impact is this? I'm thinking of changing my major to bio......eng.... but I'm behind in the coursework, so the option that is most doable is the b.a. degree, since it requires a lot more 'humanities' coursework(which I'm doing right now)</p>

<p>i would do a lot of research on the program, and also on another b.s. somewhere else. if they are comparable, its probly okay. if its a b.a. though i think you will find a pretty significant difference.</p>
