[B.Arch] USC vs Syracuse?

Guys,

I am currently hesitating between School of Architecture in USC and Syracuse.

So if possible, could anyone provide me with some information regarding the style held by schools, student life, which school "does architecture firm" love more, etc?

*I heard that Syracuse teaches architecture in a more traditional way and USC teaches in a more imaginative way. Is this true?

(Also I got wait listed by RISD and I plan to go to RISD if eventually RISD accepts me. So does USC or Syracuse have some policies saying that once I pay the deposit, I MUST go to the school?)

Thx for the advice!!

I’m not sure what USC’s architecture methods are, but RISD and Syracuse both teach very creative applications to architecture. However, Syracuse is also somewhat traditional from what I have heard, but in terms of their usage of technology they are up to date. Schools that are super traditional like Notre Dame for example bring drafting technology only allow it in the senior year.

Both schools have excellent reputations, nonetheless, but take into consideration that they are on two different coasts.

-Victoria

Thank you!
