B Average student

I am currently a high school student. My GPA is a bit above a B average for weighted and unweihted. Fresh and soph year I took a lot of regular level classes (I) but junior and senior year I definitely stepped it up and began taking many more ap classes and honors.

My dream college would be UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). I am/was involved in a few extracurriculars. I do 2 sports, volunteer, and work at the same time. I tend to take more difficult classes and I don't get A's a lot of the time in them. Would I have a chance at my college? My ACT score is also a 26. I am worried because UIUC mostly has like 80-90 percentile students and I'm not even close...

I really just want to make it in the college for gen ed, or even better, Biochem.

You will have a good chance making it into UIUC, just keep your grade up. Gen-ed is really easy to get in, and I even think you can get into your choice of major without any problem.

Thank you!! Believe it or not this made my day! I tried posting this before on yahoo answers and someone told me to not even try. Thank you!! Gives me a lot of hope :DD

I wouldn’t say your defitinely in. U said u didn’t get A in your honors I’m assuming u don’t have a C on your transcript? Gen Ed is easier but I wouldn’t say yes for biochem.

I have one C, its from drivers ed because I crashed the car.
