<p>Yeah, while reading it I found it pretty interesting. Do any of you guys have extra stories about friends, family members or yourselves who had high SAT's but less than great GPA's?</p>
<p>yeah knew a guy with a 3.1 uw and a 23 something get into Duke. Granted he had a lot of aps/honors and our school is top 200 in the nation. </p>
<p>To be frank, every school will have their anomalies. There will always be a handful of students who had great gpa bad sat or vice versa and maybe their exc's/essays were amazing or they have strong legacy or what not. It's just not a good idea to dwell on how a few ppl with bad stats got into these great schools because it instills a false sense of hope. </p>
<p>Apply to 1 or 2 schools that you really want to go to but at the same time be realistic and have your safeties.</p>
