b.f.a + b.a.?

I have some weird specifications for colleges I'd consider attending-- I'm interested in earning components of both a B.F.A. and a B.A., if not both entire degrees, so I'm leery of colleges that don't have great opportunities in either fields. Preferably I'd be able to design my own major or enroll in an interdisciplinary program, although I'm also considering universities with connections with smaller art colleges.

Right now, I'm looking at Carnegie Mellon (BHA program), Vassar, Bard, Tufts (Tufts at SMFA), and RISD (can take courses at Brown, not really into RISD-Brown dual degree).

Anyone aware of other interdisciplinary programs with that kind of focus, or universities with extraordinary art programs? I'm having terrible luck searching online for this kind of thing!

Ask here:
[Visual Arts and Film Majors - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/)

NYU Tisch lets you take classes / earn a major from CAS - not entirely sure what you’re looking to do though.

Look at the University of Pennsylvania/PAFA program (Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts). And yes, ask or search on the Visual Arts forum as similar questions have been answered there.

Thanks for the pointers everyone, guess it’s kind of obvious I’m new around here! I’ll check out that forum.
