i have a B in macro econ and my major is Business Admin. But my overall GPA is 3.9. Will this still affect my admission into Berkeley? Has any one got into Haas or UCLA with a B in a major prerequisite? Thank you!

you’re screwed if you were relying on your gpa to get in. What are your ECs?

ptk officer, ags vice president, working in bookstore, international student from canada, volunteer work so far

one B is fine imo. but keep in mind the average gpa this year for bizecon is 3.94. UCLA’s bizecon is getting harder and harder to get into. While gpa matters alot be sure to have ECs and do TAP if its offered at ur cc. gl

Are you a resident? Being international will hurt you since CA residents get priority admission. Your ECs are pretty good, except I don’t know what AGS is (American Goat Society?). Don’t give up.

lol. alpha gamma sigma honor society, not as big as phi theta kappa. no, i am not a resident, but i hear all sorts of things, like uc’s taking more international students just for the money (tuition is triple). just wondering if anyone out there got into berkeley or ucla with a b in a major prereq. my friend’s cousin got in with B in both CALC 1 and micro econ, but this was 3 years ago…

My friend, two years ago, got in with a 3.6 GPA but she had amazing ECs. She was a professional figure skater and student body president. She was Haas undergrad student body president before she graduated.

amazing, i know she was an exception, but at least gives me hope, thanks

Some kid got in this year with a c in calc but he was a Veteran
