Hello,
I’m currently a freshman, and I am taking my final exams next week. I’m currently holding strong As in my ‘harder’ classes, but I just learned of a great concern: I have a missing assignment in my photography class, dropping it to a B. As one may say “Ask the teacher very politely to record it”, she will not. Finally, my root question is: will decent colleges look over something such as this? I am planning to major in a form of engineering, and I’m challenging myself the most in math and science. I believe I will able to raise my unweighted GPA up to the 3.95+ range by the end of high school. Thanks!
What do you mean by asking her to record it? Does that mean you haven’t asked if you could hand it in late for partial credit? That seems like something they would be more likely to agree to.
I don’t know your definition of a decent college, but I doubt a B will kill your chances at them.
You’re probably fine, it’s freshman year and an elective. And a B, not a fail. The most important grades will be math, sci, and other cores, for a stem direction.
I had not known that she didn’t receive this assignment, until yesterday. I believe that she stopped accepting late work two days prior. I’m still going to ask sincerely this Monday, but I’m not planning on her accepting it.
