Which would elite colleges prefer, if they had to choose one?
Student A, who has gotten As in math, but only reached up to Pre-Calc
vs
Student B has gotten a B- first semester of AP Calc BC, but reached an A second semester.
@cazzette As with many of the other questions you’ve asked, we can’t really tell, as there are many many factors.
A’s in both semesters of AP Calc BC would likely be better though.

@MITer94 im just curious as I hadn’t done well in Calc, and was wondering if totally avoiding it wouldve been the smarter decision -

A B-/A isn’t that terrible. If I was getting a D in calculus I probably would have dropped it.
