Will a B in freshman PE hurt my chances at the most selective colleges? I do realize that they probably won't consider PE grades in the GPA that they calculate, but that's only if you have an A. Because so many PE grades are just participation-based, will colleges think I slacked off, was disruptive, or just didn't do anything?

They won’t care at all.

I got a B in PE second semester of my freshmen year haha. Embarrassing. It didn’t affect me though.

I got B first quarter in my freshmen year too, just first quarter then I switched into Water Polo and Swimming :)

(because I got a knee injury and I couldn’t run so I asked my teacher if I could walk, she asked me if it hurt that bad then I walked and she didn’t gave me full credit because she thought I walked for 4 laps while it should be 5 and I told her.
and because I got a 0 out of 10 on volleyball serving…how stupid)
At my school, this is pretty much it for PE first quarter+ run a mile or so+ dressing

Don’t worry it won’t hurt you. I applied to the UCs and they don’t even count or ask about the PE class at all. Won’t hurt and won’t help.

I had a B in gym almost every single quarter of high school. I was more than fine. You will be too.

I don’t think that the most selective colleges particularly care about your PE grades. Good luck!!!
