hey i have a quick question. on the bruin direct authorization form, it asks for the branch bank address. do we give them the bank address that i go to in my hometown or the one i'll be going to in LA? or does it even matter?

i gave them the one I go to...it doesn't really matter it's just a branch

how do you check if they have received you direct Bruin form??

It'd be the bank address that's actually on your check...

I sent it in a month ago, but have no idea if they have received it or not. Any idea how to check?

im in the same situation as haybaxt, how do we check if our bruindirect form is received???? what if it got lost in the mail??

If it gets lost in the mail, you can submit a new form! You will not be subject to cruel punishment for not having it either postmarked or received by the 15th of this month. I called (size=+2 825-2201[/size] M-F 9am-4pm(?)) and asked and they said it was OK if you sign up later (well not in these exact words because I wasn't going to have a bank account by the 15th and asked if I could make one later - they said it was OK). The only difference with not having BD is getting stuff......... sent to you.....................

thanks for the number emmeline

Emmeline: What do you mean "getting stuff"? Please be more specific.

Probably what Emmeline meant is when you have credits or refunds due you, it is deposited to your bruin direct.

Emmeline: So, does that mean that if we don't sign up for Bruin Direct, we won't be given any refunds due to us? Or will it be mailed as a check to our homes?

"All students are required to have Bruin Direct." They are definitely pushing Bruin Direct.

so we dont know if the mail went through until we get anything deposited into our banks huh?

hmmn, I think I should mail mines in asap

you can check the status of your bruindirect account by calling the finaid office and by pressing "2."

fandango - you get it mailed to you if you dont have BD.
