B.S in the United States - questions

OK, guys. Please help me out here. I'm an international Student, completed my Bachelors' degree from Melbourne(Aus.). Now I'm in the United States living here for a few months.. Thinking of getting my bachelor's degree again.
My questions:

I'm looking at Management Information Systems programs.I have my B.S in Engineering degree. so does this look like a repeat of what I have already done.

How long can it typically take me complete this second bachelor's degree in US I assume that I don't have to do all the courses again, just may be the final 1 ir 2 year courses?

Jobs - Does it suck to find jobs for International students in the United States?

I know a Master's degree would be better in my case but I'm just looking at this option too

Your thoughts?

It sounds like a Master’s degree would be your better option.

If you absolutely want a second Bachelor’s degree, you should check the requirements with a few specific universities. I suspect that you would need to complete all requirements for your second major as well as general education requirements (literature, history, foreign languages, social sciences, etc), but that they would let you use credits from your first college degree towards free electives.

It’s not hard to find jobs but it is hard to get a work visa: there are yearly caps on the number of work visas that may be issued, and sponsoring an employee for a work visa is rather expensive. Your odds are better with a graduate degree because there are additional visas available for applicants with graduate degrees from American universities.

A second bachelor’s may not be such a great idea-primarily because of the cost.Unless you can afford the exhorbitant tuition bear in mind that there is very little funding for international undergraduates and it is ultra competitive. Some schools will specifically not accept/fund students for a 2nd bachelors.Fortunately for you there is much more funding available for graduate students and I think a masters degree would be a better use of your time.

Take the GRE and go to graduate school. You’ll also need 3 letters of recommendation.

A second bachelors degree will take you 4 years; 3 if you take summer courses

Finding a job depends on your location and level of entry. As a low level, chances are you won’t be hired b/c a visa sponsorship is expensive.

There will be no financial aid as an international applicant because you already have a BS.

You will need to apply as a transfer student. Depending on how many credits transfer, you might finish in only two years, but you should be prepared to spend three years.

Some universities won’t accept you at all because they don’t admit students for second BS degrees. You need to do the research carefully.

Read through the information about requirements for admission to MS programs. You may be eligible to apply. Tuition and fees usually are higher for graduate students, but you would be almost certain to finish in the time that is normal for that degree. The time factor for a second BS is less predictable.
