Currently at 2040 from the May test (650 CR, 720 M, 670 W)

Aiming for 2200 in October, mainly with a focus on limiting careless errors in math as well as learning all types of sentence errors for the writing section. I know I won’t be able to improve CR a crazy amount, so I’ll do a bit for that one (hoping for 680+, preferably above 700), but I’ll be giving a lot more attention to the others, hoping for 760+ in both of those.

An in depth look at a test a week this summer should keep me well enough prepared.

Aiming for a 2000+ composite. Sorta winged the first. Buggered down by AP tests. Traditionally a weaker math student but determined to bring it up to 650 in time for November.

So, I’ve had summer vacation for a few days, and all I feel like doing is relaxing in the sunshine…but no, SAT prep beckons me!

I’m currently focusing on the Writing section of the SAT (my favorite section of the test). That means I’ve been looking at grammar rules, SparkNotes 7 Deadly Sins, and PWN the SAT (super useful btw). Of course, how can I forget “How to write a 12 essay in 10 days.” I’ve chosen to go with four literary examples, three news-related examples, and three interesting personal examples for my “bank of ideas”. Hopefully, I will finish this by tomorrow, and then I can start reviewing the flashcards I made from Direct Hits Vol. 1 + Vol. 2.

How is prep going for you guys? C’mon, let’s be sure to keep each other motivated for this long preparation schedule…it WILL be worth it! :)

Been working hard at the math. SAThabit’s proved an intuitive source of practice. Always wake up with the motivation to knock those 9 problems out. I worked on a section out of the blue book two days ago and did miserably. Motivation a little bruised but I’ll pick up.

2150(CR 660/M 800/W 690) in January, 2013
Aiming for 2250+
When I take mock tests, I get around 690-730 for CR and 650-700 for Writing.
Need to improve grammar section of writing and also get all the vocab questions to get stable 700+.

I’ve taken two practice tests so far in preparation – 2260 (800M, 710W, 750CR) and 2280 (720M, 760 W, 800CR). All of my mistakes have been silly ones, though, so I’m hoping to improve to over 2300 consistently before the Oct. test.
