B-schools i have a chance at

hello everyone, the time to write essays is very soon
and i would like to know the best schools i can get into with my stats with the best opportunity in business with emphasis on job aspect in either consulting or
i-banking.

My stats are

3.4gpa at a California Community College
Honors Program
Sat1: 1800
Business Internship at a local marketing business

I know my stats are kind of weak but i just want to get into the best possible school i can as a transfer.

I'm planning to apply to many california schools like the UCLA, Berkeley but as an Econ major not Business admin becuz my stats are too low, UCSB, UC Irvine, but i want to learn more schools that are in state or out of the state that i can get into with the best opportunity in business.
Thank you very much and for spending your time reading this.

if your stats aren't up to par with students at the top business schools, apply to indiana-kelley...

why do you go to a CC?

O.o You don't need SAT scores or a essay since your applying as a transfer student since your comming from a CC
those requirements are only for freshmans coming straight from highschool

lol the_aspirant that hurt.....

Dcho711 (hurts, but true--and you already know my son's at Indiana--Kelley).

Also, in addition to Indiana, the OP should consider Illinois, Bentley, Boston University, Oregon, Washington, Pittsburg, Colorado and Fordham. In California, if the money's not a problem, consider Santa Clara in addition to the UCs and Cal States (UCSB, Cal State SLO, UC Irvine, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State LB, Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State, Cal State LA and UC Davis).

Both USC and UCLA are longshots based upon the GPA (need about a 3.6 GPA to transfer from a California CC to these schools in business/econ and SAT--which is an average of 1950+ at both schools).

Best of success.

Based on the fact that the OP is applying from CCC, I'm assuming he is a transfer student. UCs don't really look at SATs for the transfers.

3.4 is still too low for both the BizEcon at UCLA and USC Marshall, but you still have a shot. Perhaps are you TAP certified? If you are, you actually have a good chance at UCLA. Apply, and pray for the best.

Santa Clara and USD have 2 of the top undergrad b-schools in the state.

dhl3,

Yes, I meant to say that you need a 3.6 GPA to transfer to UCLA or USC, but a 1950+ SAT at USC only (not at UCLA, where SATs are not considered)

Here's the stats on average GPAs needed this past year for admittance to UCLA.

http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof07.htm

According to this site, the average successful applicant to UCLA from the California community college had a 3.57 GPA.
Of course, some lower GPAs got in and some higher ones got in--so you may only need about a 3.5 GPA and not a 3.6--probably depends on which program you are applying for. (School of Nursing was the easiest to get into)
