BA Econ from mid-high tier LACs worthless?

Planning to major in econ. If I were to major in Economics from a mid to high tier LAC (Occidental/Lafayette, POSSIBLY McAlaster/Trinity but it's a reach), would the degree actually be worth it? Or would I be better suited just going with a BS from UT/Minn/TAMU?

I'd hope to work in a more macroecon than a microecon field, but I don't want having 'Bachelor of Arts in Economics' on my resume to hurt me in the long run.
