I'm currently a sophomore in college, and I'm considering a double major in Japanese and economics at the University of Colorado Boulder, which has an agreement with the University of Colorado Denver where if you get a BA in a foreign language, you are put on an accelerated path to getting an MS in international business (summer/fall/spring/summer one year program).

While I'm very interested in international business, the research I have done has led me to believe that a graduate degree in international business isn't that desirable--much less a degree from a mid/low-tier school like UCD.

If I chose an alternative to this plan, I would likely major in economics or business and attempt to go to a much better graduate school; however, the advantage with this joint degree plan is the speed at which I can finish school and get out into the work force.

So my question is this: is this path that I am currently on a smart decision, or should I reconsider?

Thank you!
