As yall know, I have lots of interests but they are somewhat related....Romance Languages, Linguistics, W. Europe....I currently have the following in the works:

Major in linguistics
Cetificate in W. European Studies
Minor in French
BIG MAYBE Minor in Italian
Desires: another study abroad program, more language courses and content courses in the language, internship here or abroad the term after I graduate.

One of my academic advisors suggested my doing an interdisciplinary major because a lot of what I have already done could count towards it and I would cut down my graduation requirments by a considerable amount. I would also be under less pressure as far as having to take certain classes (certain linguistics classes are only offered certain terms and they only have one time slot).

Do you think I should consider this option? WIll grad school admissions look down upon an "interdisciplinary studies" major? I would have to pick a theme in my major, so its not exactly "do whatever" but its still not a cut and dry major.....I am not sure if I want to go to graduate school for linguistics, translation, international relations, or whatever yet....
