BA/M.D Baccalaureate Program at Rutgers

For all of you living in NJ, how difficult is it to get into the seven year medical program at rutgers? It would take me straight in the University of Medicine in NJ so I don't have to apply to med school..have already a reserved spot.

I think you posted this in the wrong forum. Their site does say that you don't get any special advantage if you're an NJ resident, probably because it's competitive, so the only benefit someone from NJ can get is that they pay the in-state price. Basically all BA/MD programs are difficult to get in to.

how difficult exactly? are you trying to say that gettting into this program is as difficult as getting into like harvard??!!??

well, maybe not, but it still is pretty hard! Getting a reserved spot in medical school is quite desirable.

Yeah, it's very very hard. Don't you apply for that program after you enroll in Rutgers? I think that's what my friend is going. Or maybe that was dentistry? Or some other accelerated professional program...

But yeah. It's really hard. Nothing to count on, for sure.

How many spots do they have for these kinds of students?

No, you apply in high school.
