<p>How hard is it to get admission into BA Music? Such as in the avg GPA/SAT/ACt to get in etc. Thanks</p>
<p>I’m not sure about the competition in majoring music (pretty sure the major is not impacted). However, if you don’t get into music, UCSD will just put you on your second preferred major, or as an undeclared major.</p>
<p>As for GPA/SAT averages etc, it’s around 3.8-4.0 for GPA and around 1800-1900 for SAT’s.</p>
<p>Though I know a guy who’s here coming in with a 3.1 UC GPA and a 1600 SAT… so right amazing essays for that extra little push. Also don’t be modest on your achievements, EC’s, etc.</p>
<p>Music isn’t impacted, so if you get into UCSD and you put it as your first choice major, then you’re in.</p>
