Some background information:

I am a senior in high school, and plan to attend Hillsdale Liberal Arts College this fall.

I was in a program called PSEO (Put simply, dual enrollment), and have a little over a semesters worth of college credits under my belt.

Rather than graduate a semester early, I am planning on using that extra semester to dual major and minor.

I plan to dual major in accounting and finance, with a minor in economics. (Probably get a MSF or MACC afterward, but I'll try not to get ahead of myself)

To the point:

The college I'm going to offers a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science degree. Each have different requirements, and just about anyone with any major can get either. The requirements must be fulfilled for one of them.

The BA requires I take 12 credit hours (3 4 hour classes) of foreign language.

The BS requires I take 30 credit hours in any science or math they offer (biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, integrated science, physics and psychology), and minor in one of the above stated fields.

Originally I planned on taking the BS route, and fulfilling the requirement by mainly taking computer science courses, as they would probably help more than, say, chemistry. It seems to me that the requirements for both the BS and BA aren't practical for a business degree. I could see why this choice might be obvious and practical to a chemistry major or an art major, but as for a business major, I just don't see it. Now I am leaning towards the BA, even though I hate foreign language, simply because of the time I would save. However, I've heard that BA degrees are seen as worse than BS degrees.

So, I was hoping someone here could help me out on choosing which path to take (Again, I must fulfill one of the two requirements to graduate)

Is one more practical in the business world than the other(Sciences or foreign language)?

Is one seen in higher esteem to employers?

And any other comments would be appreciated.

Thanks to anyone who helps.
