Hello everyone. I am in college. I just received my AA. I know it's nothing special. I am enrolled in the BA Computer Science program. I have just recently taken my first programming class (Java) and Computer Org and Assembly Lang Prog classes. I only was able to pull off a C in both classes. My professor said this is typical among the students at my college. So I am kind of worrying because I want to be able to code good and get a job after college. My adviser is not very helpful, she just says all the time talk to your professor. Well I am trying to find out if Computer Science is right for me. I really like the idea of being able to walk into a building go to an office and have someone tell me to code this and then I can just do it. Or Cyber Security, and of course game design. However I know that I have a hard time grasping concepts and it seems everyone else just gets everything the very first time. My girlfriend tells me to study harder because she wants me to succeed.

I have other areas that I am also interested in and I would like to either double major or major in one subject and minor in another. I am looking for a good degree to fall back on in-case I can't find a job. Having more options is always better I feel.

So, I am also interested in Micro Biology. I am type 1 Diabetic and I have been interested in biology since I was diagnosed. I am not looking to be a doctor, more of a lab researcher or assistant.

Also Marketing. I have always thought I would be good at advertising. I would like working on a team and coming up with ideas to promote products to the public to get products to sale.

The of course I have always wanted to work with stocks. Buy sale trade.

Skills I have that required no formal education:
Mechanic- I have been working on cars since I was very young. I do not want to do maintenance on cars for a living.
Computer home networks. I setup friends and family home networks.
Computer problem solving.

So I am really looking for some help. My GF is an English major and is going to be an English teacher.

Any insight, help, solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to offer some wisdom.
