I met several families during auditions that expressed interest in the BA Theatre program. Our BA program is very vibrant and focused on developing artists and creative thinkers. Casting is not program specific and there are many opportunities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions if you have them.

Hi Michele, I was just wondering if the BFA and BA students are competing against each other for campus productions or if the BA students have their own BA productions. And does doing a BA instead of a BFA create any kind of handicap in terms of finding work post-graduation? My daughter is mostly interested in film acting professionally. Many thanks! Kim

All students audition for the same productions regardless of program. The thing to note is that there are many productions. We fully produce six shows in our subscription season. We also produce a secondary season that consists of student directed projects, student written work, program specific projects (such as the MFA Director’s Shakespeare Shortcuts) staged readings, new play/musical development and faculty/guest artist directed pieces.
All of the above does not include the 15+ shows produced by our five student theatre groups or the film school projects that the students audition for separately. There is lots of opportunity, but the student must be proactive in pursuing it, regardless of program.
