I got a one in Computer Science A Exam because I threw up and left early.
HOWEVER, being the stupid being that I am, I forgot to cancel it-_-
I asked Collegeboard and they said I could cancel my AP Exam score.
Will this hurt me? This…spits out one ?
I have 5s in everything else ^^

First off, I think the AP exam scores are the least important part of your application. There is no requirement to take the exams, and if you take them, there is no requirement that the scores have to sent to the colleges. (You initiate the score reporting by paying money to the College Board and instructing them where to send the scores.) Some schools do not use the scores for admission, but only for placement after admittance. However, if you are looking at HYPSM, then it might matter because everything matters. Applying to those schools is a lottery anyway.

That said... Can you have the single AP exam grade cancelled? I'm not sure if you can order that selected scores be sent or if all the scores for a single year have to all go out together. AP courses have gotten so common that some people are saying that simply taking the course is not important unless you also take the exam and do well. However, it might be better for them to not see any of the scores than to see the 5's and a 1.

If you have to send the bad score with the rest, and you decide that it is better to send everything rather than nothing, then you need to explain the bad exam score. This can be done by a supplemental note from you in your application. A better way would be if your guidance counselor explained it in their recommendation. In addition, if you are getting a recommendation from your computer science instructor, they could explain it.

You can selectively withhold any AP score from the CollegeBoard reports to colleges. The fee is $10 per score per college. Refer to your AP booklet or the CollegeBoard site for more information.

Check with your school to make sure they don't include AP test scores on your transcript.

^ Yes, my school has the AP Exams on the transcript.

I sent my score to Stanford (poo) but Collegeboard said I could cancel my one ONLY, so that's great. The score would disappear from my AP records but the University will not be notified; only my school.

I think you meant to say that the score would not disappear from your AP records. Only cancelled scores disappear. Your high school will be notified of a cancelled score, but colleges will not.

Yes, they do disappear from my records at Collegeboard COMPLETELY,for I am voiding the score (or so I was informed by Collegeboard).

no one would care, trust me. I they place a greater value on sat's and sat ii's.
