I applied under the Early Action program. I thought they would notify applicants by January 1st?!! does this mean I got rejected… lol did anyone else receive this email?

My D is at Babson as a student now. The year she applied, they did get their decisions before Christmas even though it states January 1st on their web site. They let applicants know their decisions earlier, thank goodness!

I was a little confused, because my S applied EA, but they should know he is EA and not ED, because he did not sign a ED agreement. I don’t think this email gives us an indication either way of acceptance or not, I think it is just a notice of decision announcements.

Deferred… same i dont really understand. I had 2170 SAT, 3.3-3.4 UW GPA with many AP &U Honors courses (well yeah this could be), and strong ecs that really reflect my passion and interest which are also on business and international side… hmm…

Got into Tulane + scholarship, CWRU so far… rejected from my dream school friday, deferred from Michigan yesterday (saturday), and Babson… Im losing hope now… 3 in a row…

@Wnsirlord and @Urbannight My S was deferred as well; similar stats. I have a theory: the quantity of EA candidates is very high this year, because of gluttonous applicants who have applied to schools like Babson as a “back-up” or “safety”. I believe that you both, like my S, are perfect, “target” students for Babson, but in the pile of EA candidates you all didn’t have a prayer. In the RD pool, you all will be accepted, because Babson’s yield from their EA pool will be low. There is really no reason for Babson to accept you all now when they can have you all later! None of us can really complain, because we could have applied ED if it was truly our first choice! Right?

Yeah chances are, I won’t be attending even with all the grants. So best of luck everyone. Btw I only took the SAT once and I’m from CA so maybe they liked that too

Yeah, even with 1/2 tuition from the Presidential scholarship, I might not go to Babson depending on where else I get in. However, I didn’t apply solely as a “back-up” and to screw other people’s chances over. Babson really does interest me.
