Babson, John Carroll, or possibly USC...

I have recently been accepted into Babson College in Massachusetts and John Carroll University in Ohio. I have been given the opportunity to be a student athlete at both colleges, but am conflicted as to what my final decision should be. Growing up in California, I have tried to stay on the west coast but have been only offered the Trojan Transfer Plan for USC. This would allow me to transfer in my sophomore year either from a jc or college. I do not have much insight on Babson and John Carroll and am torn as to what my next decision would be, whether or not I should attend Babson or JCU or if transferring into USC would be my best educational option?

What concentration were you going to do?

Babson has a campus in Silicon Valley where you can spend a semester…

Babson all the way. If you want to study business, babson is far superior to John Carroll. If you like California transfer to SC after freshman year at babson

Comments/Questions:

Can you transfer directly into the b-school at USC?

I’d consider starting at Babson which is a fine b-school. I’d keep the option for the soph. transfer to USC open in case you decide you’d prefer a bigger school, don’t want to continue in your sport, want to return to CA etc.

If you are absolutely certain that you want to forgo playing sports in college and go to USC then maybe go to a CC your first year to save money.
