Babson or Bentley?

If you had to choose between Babson or Bentley, which would it be and why?

Well, I’m applying to both, and right now I’m not sure which I’d pick. I haven’t visited either yet, but I’m sure I’d have a better feeling after I did. Right now, though, I’m leaning towards Babson simply because of their focus on entrepreneurship, which is extremely important to me.

As a current Babson student, I can attest to the entrepreneurial mindset that runs through Babson’s curriculum. I did not look at Bentley because I was looking to play field hockey at a Division III school. I find the courses here to be focused on providing each student the tools to start and run their own businesses. That is not to say that everyone does start their own companies but many of my friends have thriving businesses or are in the process of applying for funding. Outside of the classroom there are many opportunities to meet entrepreneurs and hear how their stories. Many students have also met with much success in finding internships with entrepreneurs because entrepreneurs are always in need of some fresh young talent.
I have loved my experiences at Babson and I believe the focus on entrepreneurship has prepared me for a very successful career upon graduation.

Bentley is known for accounting. Unless you are going to be an accountant, there is no reason to choose Bentley over Babson.

No matter how you shake it: quality and beauty of campus, breadth of curriculum, professional reputation, or alumni network; Babson is quantifiably a better school.

I have to hop on the Babson train as well. I applied to both schools, but ultimately chose Babson because I wanted a small school with a large percentage of international students, a classroom environment that promotes active participation (I fall asleep during lectures), and the ability to make an impact on campus. I also love the fact that I can walk into the dining hall and never have to sit by myself, and I always have plenty of people to study with in the library. It’s a very friendly environment, a great place to learn, and even my dorm rooms have been awesome. :)

bump…

Bentley is also known for finance. However, I frankly feel that there are more similarities among the schools than differences. I think that either school would be a good choice.

This question often gets brought up because of the many similarities between the two schools. I think the best way to make a decision is to visit both schools and go with which ever one you think you would enjoy being at more.
