babson or uncch?

I want to major in Economics and i would most probably try to transfer after my freshman year?

what do u guys suggest?

I’ve never heard of Babson honestly.

Why and where do you want to transfer to?

Babson is usually accredited of its decent Business curriculum.
Don’t judge a decent school on whether you have heard of it nor not; Babson is largely unknown because it is such a small school.
By the way, if you are trying to major in Business, I suppose UNC is a better choice.

Babson is actually an excellent school for Business. It’s got the best entrepreneurship program in the country. I’m not sure it even has an economics program. I know they have liberal arts courses, but I’m not sure what’s up there. It’s kind of late, I might post more about Babson later.

I didn’t mean it was a bad school or anything, I was just saying I’ve never heard of it.

These are some stats I pulled on Babson, turns out its a really great school:

2 for Entrepreneurship (2007, 2006, 2004, 2003), up from #3 (2002, 2001)

9 for “M.B.A. program producing the most creative and innovative students” (2007)

1 among “Hidden Gems” – “lower profile schools whose graduates sparkle.” (2001, 2002, 2003)

1 in Student Entrepreneurial Skills. Babson received “the highest number of perfect scores” from recruiters for its students’ entrepreneurial skills (2001)

51+ tier nationally

It also received an A+ in teaching quality and facilities offered as well as an A in Job Placement

Makes me think I should’ve just gone to Babson…Back in the day.

Why do you want to transfer already?

haha i don’t know why i want to transfer. i guess originally it was for the prestige but i don’t know if i still would like to transfer.

anyhoo.
babson seems like an AWSOME school but they don’t have any other subjects other than business.
so i guess i’ll have to go to UNC as they have an AWSOME economics AND political science AND other programs which i’m interested in pursuing along with eco.

do u guys think i made the right choice?

Yeah, if you’re certain that you want to do economics, UNC is the better choice. Furthermore, if you aren’t sure, it helps to have some options. UNC has that. Also, if you decide you want to do business after a couple years, you can apply to Kenan Flagler (The Business School) and study Business. UNC also puts a great emphasis on entrepreneurship.

In terms of experience, I think you’d have a better time at UNC. I haven’t heard great thing about Babson from my friends. Don’t worry about the people around you not knowing about the school you’re going to. If you’re having a great time and getting a great education, it should reflect from you and people will want to get to know more about your school.

indeed. thanks for ur help.
