Baby Names

Inspired by Søren Kierkegaard, I've come up with names for my potential future children. They have kewl symbols that I have embellished to make their names extra special =D =D =-D

Sørën
Ænëus
Dânaë

Could you tell me if any of the extra umlauts/hat things will dramatically change the pronounciations any? It is an important matter that I need your help on!

THX

I beg you… don’t EVER give your child a symbol in their name. You’re dooming that child to struggles his/her whole life. Just a general warning lmao.

no symbols for a legal name. It’d be hard on him doing paperwork because my mom has problems with her last name, which is just hyphenated.

^ I have the same issue with my last name (apostrophe).

I was telling my friend that I wanted to name my child Sacristan, and a guy sitting next to me was like, “Don’t do it!” :(

just give your child a normal name… :</p>

^^ you should go with Sacripant. He, Ruggiero, and Ferraú were my favorite characters from Orlando Furioso

lol if Juliusz Słowacki could do it, my children can :b

That’s such an awesome name though!

random color for 21 seconds

How the hell do you pronounce it? Ay-ee-a-niss?

oops haha I spelled it wrong

“iˈnēəs” according to the dictionary

^ That pronunciation does not help me in the LEAST.

Dawson and Desmond. They’d be cute little annoying siblings that both start with a ‘D’. Delly sounds like a cute nickname for a girl but I dunno what the proper name would be besides Delia or Delilah. Holland would also be a cute name for a boy hmm.

As far as I know, an

uh-NEE-iss (rhymes with hiss)
ee-NEE-iss

Sørën = SOR-in

That’s not really a weird name. Just don’t spell it with symbols. Do not spell these names with different letters. That would just be criminal.

So, if you name your child one of those names, how would you pronounce it?

Metallika, you can most certainly put a hat over an a. It’s very common in French: ch

I must admit, I had never heard of Danae. I had to look her up.

Oh, sorry then. :x I was going by the language rules I’ve learned so far. Sorry!

I do, however, still believe it would be useless in regards to this name.

Ugh. Baby names…I hate babies. Just call them alpha, beta, etc. if you must.
