Cody is an Irish/Gaelic name.
Not an Americun name.

Ah, yes! Someone who shares my dislike of children! :)

Heinrich eez not frooty

@ Romani
Now that I think about it there are no American names. Most “American” names are English, Scottish or Irish origin.

^ Sorry, that was my point. I should have made that more clear lol.

Oh, and about the gift shops that sell personalized key chains and pencils and backpacks and such…my name was never on them anyway. :(

Mine either
and I have a pretty common name. But it was always there with an “i” in it or a -lyn attached.

Shaquille? And what’s the origin of the kid that was named after Man U’s entire starting XI?

I’ve always thought that misspelling names was a rather American thing to do.

^ I was thinking of names like William, James, Charles etc. lol

I don’t know about the kid named after Man U’s starting XI.

Yeah, speaking of those darn gift shop key chains, never in my life have I found one with my name on it. The closest thing I’ve come across is “Lily.” Boo :(

My name’s on surprisingly few of those key chain things. I mean I’m named after one of the apostles, what more can they ****ing want?

At the Fairmont in SF on the little license plate keychains they had “Kodie” and “Kody” but not “Cody.” What the hell.

TCBH, I see your name all the time. (It’s my cousin’s name, so I’m used to looking for it.)

Hmm, it just feels like it’s less popular than most would expect. Apparently the popularity peaked several decades ago.

Bartholomew?
romani, are you by any chance named Mary, in that case lol?

^ Erm… no. Lol.

TCBH not all of the apostles have common names. For example I do not know (and have no facebook friends) called Thaddius, Judas or Bartholomew

TCBH has a common name.

Surprisingly, it’s ranked only around 150 on the top “baby male names in the us”.

^ Really? That surprises me.
Although, I guess it’s fallen out of popularity in the last decade :/
