BAC vs. AP

which is harder for subject tests? what is the equivalent score for each (5 on ap would be ____ on BAC and 15 on BAC would be____ on AP)?

BAC stands for....?

International Baccalaureate Exam

oh...that.
isn't that harder?

i don't know, i've neve taken the exam myself.

IB is the preferred abbreviation so other people know what you're talking about.

The highest score for an IB is 7.

There is no true equivalent. Though for colleges, some consider a 7 equivalent to a 5, though other consider 6-7.

Personally, even though I haven't taken the exam, I have had a friend that has taken it, and I would say that it would be easier, because IB just tests your in-depth knowledge of a particular subject through two or three essays. While, AP tests your analytical thinking skills through multiple choice and essays, but that's just my opinion. Now, if you were talking about IB vs. AP, I would say that IB is harder than AP because it has more requirements.

I am an IB student taking IB HL Physics. I think that the emphasis is on explanation for IB (70% of questions ask to explain formula and theory) whereas AP requires problem solving skills. Because of this, I think AP is easier. (I can solve questions even if I don't know anything on that topic just by using the units of given information)
