Bachelor of Arts vs Bachelors in Economics

Hello,

I had applied to UBC Bachelor Of International Economics as my first choice course and got rejected for it. However, they recently offered me a place in Bachelor of Arts course. I want to know if there’s anyone who knows the pros for going ahead with bachelor of arts? It sounds like a waste of money considering I need my bachelors in Economics.

They openly admit to putting students in the Bachelor of Arts course if they are rejected from their number one and number two choice.

TL;DR: Is the Arts program worth it? They allow transfers only uptill the second year of the economics course. Should I instead just study here at a local university and transfer/graduate from there?

UBC bachelor of arts comes to around $25k/year (probably more)

i’m desperate. i’ll be eternally grateful (not that that means much).

I’m a little confused here. Bachelors of Economics? Wouldnt it be BSC Economics? And being put into Bachelors of arts? Meaning undeclared? Or BA Economics?
