What program/school does one have to be in to recieve this diploma?

Technically, you have to be accepted to both SCS and CFA independently, although I doubt it’d be hard to switch in if you were accepted to either one (based on personal experience switching into CS).

You switched into CS? I’ve heard that it’s impossibly difficult to do so.

[BCSA is its own program… Well, a subset of the BXA program. To be accepted, you have to apply to both CFA and SCS (and be accepted to both). The BXA admissions page](<a href=“BCSA Program - BXA Intercollege Degree Programs - Carnegie Mellon University”>BCSA Program - BXA Intercollege Degree Programs - Carnegie Mellon University) has more info.

If you want to start in BCSA, see above replies.
My roommate’s girlfriend last year was an art major who switched ino BCSA, so it’s not necessarily something you have to decide right away. I will warn you, being BCSA does not mean you get to skimp on the CS, you still have to take 251, 213, etc.
