I was accepted as a piano performance major to Arizona State in the U.S., and to the Basel Musik Akademie in Switzerland. The Bachelor's degree is still quite new at the latter, and takes 3 years to complete, as compared to the typical four at an American university. So my question is: do you think this will make a difference if I do undergrad in Switzerland but later want to apply to grad schools in the States? Or will schools not care how many years I got the degree in, so long as I play well at auditions?

Acceptance to grad school for perfomance hinges upon the strength of the audition, just as it does for undergraduate acceptance.
