On the selective service thing… We got a card in the mail a couple of weeks ago confirming my son’s registration for selective service. We’re like… what the hell? He said he never registered for anything.

Turns out all you have to do is check a box on your FAFSA, and you’re registered. Evidently that’s what I did, and I have no recollection of it.

Is it possible to take two UH 120 classes? I am registered for Honors Year One and I tried to register for the Cognitive Surplus class which is also listed under UH 120 and it didn’t let me because the system thinks I’m trying to register for the same class twice.

For male students, check the box on FAFSA and they are registered, which must be done in order to receive financial aid.

Tommy it is possible to take multiple UH 120 courses during the same semester. Kiki Karatheodoris (the Honors College registrar) can help you get into a second UH 120 course. Her email is kiki@bama.ua.edu.

My D put 3 UH classes on her schedule today with no issues. Also had no issue with the Calc III.

My Engineering (Undecided) son’s registration this morning went without a glitch–he got all the required courses plus the honor’s seminar he wanted. The overall Bama Bound experience was spectacular. M2CK, I saw a photo of your son in Costa Rica in Dr. Oneal’s office!
