i don't feel like writing a lot, so i'll get to the point xD

Good:
I felt REALLY welcomed. All the orientation leaders were really nice, and i met a ton of new people. At first it was really overwhelming; the campus was so huge and i didn't think i would fit in,but i looked up a ton of clubs i could join and they sound great. It's soooooo not flat at all. I'm from Miami, so it was a huge change; i loved it.i felt like i was climbing a mountain every 2 seconds.I actually liked the food; breakfest and dinner were really good.Everything went smoothly.I loved the fact that FSU has it's own theater and bowling lane. I know that I'll NEVER get bored. My parents fell in love with it, too; they bought $100 worth of apparel at the bookstore.Oh and the girls there are REALLY hot xD

Bad:
The surrounding area looks really ghetto-ish.

Not bad,but will suck:
living on my own will be a huge change
Sharing a bathroom with 3 other people will be tough

Campus size:Trust me, it's actually a small campus for a state school. You can easily reach most of the campus in less than 20 minutes on foot. With a bike or something else with wheels about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. When I first got there it seemed like everything was far. A week in, routine kicks in and its not bad.

Hills: On my first visit to FSU it felt like everything was up some hill. Once you are there yeah you still notice the hills but they really are not a big deal.

Tally: As you already saw, the school is beautiful but the surrounding area is very questionable. You'll be fine.

Food: lol. Enjoy it now. After about 3-4 weeks of it you will get tired of it. Be careful when picking your meal plan.

Movie theater: Take advantage of it. They usually show a lot of good movies.

Bathroom:Arrggg still not something I'm used too especially since some of the walls are paper thin. My old roommate on the other hand, he had no shame and that was great.

Girls:Agreed, they are gorgeous. Just don't break your neck when they sunbathe on landis.

wow, sounds awesome. What all did they give you at orientation? I am asking because mine is scheduled the end of next month (for fall). The bookstore is great..they have everything, lol and you really cannot get bored. That makes me even more excited for orientation.

for the record, I never attended UF. I do know quite a bit about FSU from first-hand experience, however, and am simply giving my humble opinion on the subject matter.
