Back From Trinity

I got nervous seeing the bed threads post as we are still in the midst of visits and decising!
My D liked Trinity University a lot, not at all what she expected of Texas. The school grounds are beautiful, all the building made of Trinity brick, immaculate grounds with sprawling lawns and trees, glider swings hung in the branches. Most of all she liked the students and sense of community there. The team she met was very close knit. The hitch which was surprising was that they do not offer human anatomy or physiology, they only have vertebrae anatomy and they said they have better luck getting students into med school then PT school because of that. We were pretty surprised. She could take those classes in the summer elsewhere but that was not exciting to start off with that...so we are off to St Louis to visit their PT dept and entry level doctrate program and will see USD after. I think it will be between those two with Willamette still a possibility. I wish she would consider Barretts, she has free tuition there plus, but she really wants small classes and a close knit community feel. I am getting nervous , my son loved a lot of schools, he was easy to please. My D is the princess and the pea. I really think that if the money had come through at Pepperdine however she would have been able to decide. I will keep you updated. Any thoughts on USD as a pre PT option or SLU would be appreciated.

I would try to get her to visit the Barretts program. My D started out think she wanted a small college and small classes as well. After visting 6 colleges and applying to, (and being accepted at,) a bunch more, she decided she liked the honors program at University of Arizona best.

At an honors program you can get the comaraderie and closeness of a small school and still have the options of a large school. She thought it was great.

Although...if Pepperdine had her major and gave her a full ride...
